About
I make art that crosses genres and passions, all with an eye to resisting the status quo.
My books include Exile in Guyville, winner of the 2022 BOA Editions Short Fiction Prize; A Grotesque Animal from University of Iowa Press; and Dig Me Out from Atelier26 Books. I'm the creator of The Art of Resistance podcast and the co-creator of Broads and Books Productions; productions include Midwest Weird audio literary magazine, Fuzzy Memories Podcast, and the Wyrd Woman audio drama. I've received a Pushcart Prize and an Iowa Author Award.
